A staple between the pipes for the Beacons ice hockey program from 2006 to 2010, Donovan will enter this year’s Hall of Fame class posthumously. He was the first goaltender to lead the Beacons to a conference championship game (2009) since the program’s first conference title in 1982. The program leader in career games played (90), and career minutes played (5,030:06), Donovan was a 2007 and 2008 New England Hockey Writers Association All-New England Team selection. In 2008 he was an ECAC East First Team honoree and also garnered conference Goalie of the Year honors as well. Donovan currently sits second all-time in career shutouts with three and still holds the program record for saves in a game (64), season (898), and career (2,669). Donovan passed away in the summer of 2015.
