One of the most talented men’s soccer players in the program’s history, Chavez remains one of the all-time greatest scorers. A member of the 1982–85 teams, Chavez was UMass Boston’s first-ever 100-point earner. The talented and skilled forward combined for 101 career points while on the harbor campus. To date his sits second all-time in the program’s history for total points, behind fellow Hall of Famer Charlie Keskinidis. His 39 career goals has him sitting second in the record book, while his 23 career assists is third most.
