About the Department of Athletics
Intercollegiate athletics and intramurals/recreation for students, staff, and faculty are the primary concerns of the Department of Athletics. UMass Boston teams compete in the Little East Conference.
The Department of Athletics also has the responsibility of providing service to the community. Whether it is complimentary use of the Clark Athletic Center's indoor and outdoor facilities, coaches and student athletes' sports clinics for youth groups, or holiday visits to area hospitals, UMass Boston Athletics is at the forefront of serving communities around the state.
