A member of the Boston State men’s basketball and golfteams, Craig M. Lindgren '70 made some of the most valuablecontributions in the history of the men’s basketballprogram. 

The driving force behind the team’s three consecutive NewEngland State College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) tournamentappearances, Lindgren could play any position on the court and wasranked amongst the program’s top rebounders when hegraduated.  A three-year letter winner, Lindgren led theWarriors to the inaugural Codfish Bowl tournament title in 1970,and for his efforts was named the tournament’s Most ValuablePlayer.  It was also in that year that Lindgren earned hisfirst All-Conference selection from the NESCAC.

A model student-athlete, Lindgren also stood out in theclassroom.  A member of the President’s and Dean’sList, the North Reading, Massachusetts, native graduated fromBoston State with a 3.7 GPA and was named a Boston StateScholar-Athlete as a senior.   

On the golf course, Lindgren played at tournament’s allover the country throughout his high school and collegecareers.  From 1974–1984, Lindgren competed as aprofessional and served as the assistant pro to Bob Crowley at PineBrook Country Club in Weston.

Lindgren recently retired from Carlson Commercial Real Estateafter having spent a career in real estate on the North Shore ofBoston.  He currently resides in Georgetown, Alabama.
