A member of the 1981-82 ECAC championship team, Joe Curran '87was a two-time captain with the Beacons.  To-date Curranstands as the all-time program leader in career assists with104.  He also ranks third all-time in career points with 161and eighth in total goals with 57.  Named the Codfish Bowl MVPin 1983, Curran’s hard-nosed play earned him the respect ofhis teammates, coaches, and opponents. 

From 1980-84, Curran ranked among the leading scorers and pointearners in the entire ECAC Division III hockey league.  In the1981-82 season, Curran played a major part in leading the Beaconsto the program’s first conference title.  Following hisplaying career, Curran returned to his alma mater to serve as anassistant coach for two seasons(1986-88).
