Paul Curran becomes the first wrestler inducted into the UMassBoston Hall of Fame. The Hyde Park native was a four-yearletterwinner for the Beacons, wrestling at weight classes rangingfrom 158, 177 and 190 pounds. He was named All-New England as asophomore and a senior and placed fifth at the New England CollegeConference Wrestling Association Championships in his final season.The 1990 graduate of UMass Boston was a co-captain for the Beaconsduring his junior campaign and was selected captain as a senior,while compiling a 28-26-6 record over four years. Following hisjunior campaign, he became just the second UMass Boston wrestler tobe named an Academic All-American.
