Joshua Stolp is among the greatest lacrosse players in UMassBoston history. Over his four-year career, Stolp scored anincredible 190 goals to rank first among Beacons leaders and 16thall-time in NCAA history in only 60 career games. He amassed 250total points to rank second in program annals while his 60 careerassists put him at seventh all-time. In 2003, the attackman wasnamed the ECAC New England Player of the Year as well as the LittleEast Conference Offensive Player of the Year, becoming the onlylacrosse player in school history to garner the honor. Stolp wasnamed to the ECAC New England First team in 2003 while being namedto the Little East Conference First Team in 2002 and 2003 and theLEC Second Team in 2001 when he helped the Beacons appear in theirfirst-ever LEC Championship game. During his senior campaign, Stolpwas ranked ninth in the nation in goals per game averaging 3.25 andled the team with 65 points and 52 goals in 16 games. His goaltotal is the seven-most in a season in school history. As a junior,Stolp ranked 26th in the nation in points per game with 4.54 andranked eighth with 3.62 goals per game in 2002 while also leadingthe Beacons with 59 points and 47 goals in 2002 in 13 games. Duringhis sophomore season, the attackman ranked second on the team with73 points and third with 48 goals and 25 assists as a sophomore in2001, while ranking second with 120 ground balls in 17 games. Healso netted a career-high 11 goals during his second season withthe Beacons in an 18-9 win over Curry College on April 19, 2001. Asa rookie, he identified that he was the real deal finishing hisinaugural campaign ranked second on the team with 53 points and 43goals as a freshman in 2000 in 14 games. Over his career, Stolptallied at least one point in 57 of 60 career games, registeredmultiple points in 48 career contests with multi-goal outings in 45games.
