Miner Named to NFCA DIII Weekly Top Performer's List

BOSTON, MA (May 6, 2026) — UMass Boston senior Lauren Miner (Millbury, Mass.) has been recognized as one of the top performers in Division III softball, earning a spot on the national honors list released Tuesday by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA).

Miner, a 3B on the Beacons' ssoftball team, put together a remarkable week at the plate, posting a .481 batting average and collecting 29 total bases across her appearances. The senior drove in 16 runs, scored 12, and launched four home runs — including a two-homer game against Keene State that helped power the Beacons to the Little East Conference tournament.

Her performance also set two new school records: most RBI in a single season (50) and most RBI in a single game (seven), cementing her place in the program's record books.

Miner added two doubles and three stolen bases to her week's résumé, demonstrating the all-around offensive ability that has defined her senior campaign.

The NFCA's top performers list is selected weekly by the Division III Top 25 Committee, drawing on representation from each of the 10 NCAA regions. Recognition on the national list reflects consistent elite-level play at the highest tier of Division III competition.
