Miner Ends Regular Season as LEC Player of the Week

PROVIDENCE, RI (May 4, 2026) – For the final round of Little East Conference weekly honors of the 2026 regular season, UMass Boston senior Lauren Miner (Millbury, Mass.) was named this week's Player of the Week for her record-setting performance against the Owls on Saturday.

Miner was outstanding in a 6-0 week for the Beacons, posting a .591 batting average (10-for-19) with a 1.316 slugging percentage, while contributing 10 runs, 14 RBI, four home runs, and six extra-base hits. She etched her name in program history by surpassing the all-time single-season RBI mark at 50 and establishing a new record for RBI in one game with seven, going 3-for-3 with a pair of home runs in a 9-1 victory against Keene State to wrap up the regular season and secure the sixth and final berth in the 2026 Little East Conference Championship Tournament.

To kick off the week, Miner went a combined 3-for-6 against WestConn in a two-game LEC sweep (4-1 and 11-2), tallying a triple, a home run, four RBI, and four runs scored. She kept the momentum going with a 3-for-7 showing across a non-conference doubleheader sweep of Massachusetts Maritime (7-1 and 11-1), adding a solo home run, a double, two RBI, and two runs scored.

Miner and the Beacons will play the third-seeded Plymouth State Panthers in game two of the LEC's postseason tournament at 1:00 PM, hosted by the 2026 Regular Season Champions, Vermont State University Castleton, in Castleton, VT.
