Miner, Perron Earn CSC Academic All-District Recognition

BOSTON, MA (May 26, 2026) -- The College Sport Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Committee recently announced the winners of the Academic All-District winners for the 2026 softball season, with both Lauren Miner (Millbury, Mass.) and Mya Perron (Beverly, Mass.) each earning nods after a successful season on the field and in the classroom.

Miner was one of five Beacons to be named to the AAD team last season, and is now joined by Perron to make up this year's group of UMass Boston representatives.

To be eligible for the CSC Academic All-America and All-District Awards, student athletes must be a sophomore or higher in standing, maintain a cumulative 3.5 GPA, and have played in 90% of the season's competition, or started in 66% of them.

Miner was one of the most explosive offensive players in the Little East Conference in 2026. She slashed .402/.471/.787 across 38 games, collecting 49 hits with nine doubles, four triples, and a team-high 10 home runs to go along with a team-high 50 RBI. She also stole 19 bases in 21 attempts and scored 37 runs on the season, making her one of the most dynamic threats in the Beacons' lineup from top to bottom.

Perron also earned her first career CSC All-District recognition after a strong junior campaign that saw her bat .374 with 43 hits, 23 RBIs, and 15 stolen bases for a Beacons squad that finished 27-13 overall. One of the more versatile pieces in the UMass Boston lineup, she provided consistent contact and speed on the bases across 38 games while striking out just eight times all season.
