PROVIDENCE, R.I (January 12, 2026) -- The Little East Conference announced the winners for this week's round of LEC Weekly awards, with UMass Boston women's ice hockey forward Ainsling McFadden (Erie, Penn.) was awarded with this week's LEC Rookie of the Week honors for a pair of stellar performances last weekend against the Salem State Vikings.

McFadden scored Friday's lone-goal to give UMass Boston a 1-0 victory, and scored again in the Beacons' 5-1 routing at home.

McFadden and the Beacons' women's ice hockey team is back in action Friday (Jan. 16) at 3:00 PM against the University of Southern Maine Huskies.
