Amelia Devlin Takes Second Consecutive Rookie of the Week

BOSTON, Mass. -- Freshman setter Amelia Devlin was named Little East Conference Rookie of the Week for Women's Volleyball for the second consecutive week as announced by the Little East Conference league office on Monday afternoon.

Devlin continued her rise to prominence in the UMass Boston Women's Volleyball rotation with another strong week. Devlin finished the two matches for the Beacons with a total of 50 assists, 25 a piece against Emerson and Castleton. The West Chester, Pennsylvania native has recorded nine matches with 20-plus assists this season.

Additionally, Devlin tacked on three kills, 12 digs, and four service aces across the seven sets she played in.

The Beacons returned to the Little East Conference Tournament to defend their title, getting in as the sixth and final seed after Southern Maine dropped their match against WestConn and UMass Boston defeated Castleton University on the road this past Saturday.

UMass Boston hits the road for the LEC Quarterfinals tomorrow evening against three-seeded UMass Dartmouth at 7:00 PM. The winner will take on second-seeded Keene State College on Thursday.
