PROVIDENCE, RI (March 23, 2026) – The Little East Conference has named UMass Boston outfielder Ben Sherry (Fall River, Mass.) as its Baseball Rookie of the Week for the second straight week, the conference office announced today.

In six games last week, Sherry slashed his way to a .416 average (10-for-24) with four doubles, five RBIs, and his first collegiate home run — a milestone shot that came during the Beacons' LEC doubleheader against Western Connecticut State. UMass Boston went 4-2 on the week.

Sherry and the Beacons return to action Tuesday, March 24, when they travel to Medford, Mass. for a 3:00 p.m. non-conference matchup against the Tufts University Jumbos.
