The Beacons' track and field teams competed at the Wheaton Invitational on Saturday in Norton, Mass., where they putting together a strong day of performances during the final stretch of the indoor season.
Men's Highlights
- In the 60m hurdles, senior Justin Riley (Weymouth, Mass) advanced from prelims with an 8.74 before finishing 5th overall in the final (8.83). First-year Nahim Laguerre (Malden, Mass) also competed well, clocking 9.51.
- The 60m dash saw solid depth from the group. First-year Liam Feliz Montilla (Boston, Mass.) led the way with a PR 7.15 in the final, earning 4th place and moving to 6th in the LEC rankings. Senior Melvin Wiltshire (Boston, Mass.) ran 7.30, first-year Adrian Pena (Quincy, Mass.) 7.46, and first-year Kevin Huggins (Randolph, Mass.) 7.53.
- In the 400m, Riley continued his strong meet with a PR of 51.17, placing 3rd in the men's invite and ranking 5th in the LEC. Wiltshire followed closely in 52.91, while Laguerre took 3rd in the open section with a 53.19. Sophomores Elaijah Monteiro (New Bedford, Mass.) and Daniel Thomas (Milton, Mass.) rounded out the event, with Monteiro running 53.97 and Thomas 55.29.
- The 1000m featured an excellent performance from junior Sky Roberts-Clarke (Boston, Mass.), who ran a 2:48.34 PR, placing him inside the top 15 in the LEC.
- In the throws, first-year Ariel Aracena (Chelsea, Mass.) led the shot put with a 13.24m PR, placing him top 10 in the LEC, while seniors Olutemi Alofe (Roslindale, Mass.) (12.01m) and Neville Richards (Wellington, FL.) (11.69m) added solid marks.
- In the weight throw, Richards delivered a standout series, finishing 2nd overall with a PR throw of 14.81m, placing him inside the top 15 in the LEC. Senior Ramez Guirguis (Uptown, Mass.) also had an excellent day in the ring, recording a PR of 11.03m. Alofe added depth to the group with a solid 12.63m.
- Feliz posted a personal best in the triple jump, recording a mark of 12.10m. Sophomore Alex Huynh recorded personal bests in both the triple jump and long jump, jumping 11.95m in the triple jump and 6.44m in the long jump.
Women's Highlights
- In the 60m dash, senior Aryianna Garceau (Dalton, Mass.) continued her dominant season, running a 7.77 season's best to maintain her No. 1 ranking in the LEC. First-year Amelia Caruso (Scarborough, ME) (8.58) and Nimatu Johnson (Lowell, Mass.) (8.50) added solid efforts, while senior Brianna Furtado-Fernandes (Brockton, Mass.) closed out the event with a 9.58 PR.
- The 1000m, senior Jacqueline Earner (Abington, Mass.) led the way with a 3:14.61, followed by first-year Molly Hilditch (Auburn, Mass.) in 3:25.57. Sophomore Kylee Browning (Attleboro, Mass.) recorded a season best 3:42.47, and sophomore Abby Churchill (Attleboro, Mass.) delivered a breakthrough performance, running a 3:52.44 PR, a 12-second improvement.
- In the 200m, Caruso posted a 28.04, while Johnson continued her momentum with a 28.65 PR.
- In the weight throw, senior Isadora Teodoro Marques (Billerica, Mass.) placed 3rd overall with a 12.89m PR, a mark that moves her into the top 10 in the LEC. Junior Agnessa Lysenko (Boston, Mass.) added a strong 12.53m, while senior Alessandra Albano (Haverhill, Mass.) recorded a 11.35m PR, ranking her inside the top 20 in the LEC. Junior Katie Tuohy (Groton, CT) (11.53m) and first-year Samantha Schell (Boston, Mass.) (9.84m) rounded out a deep showing for the group.
- In the shot put, Tuohy threw a 10.43m season best, while Schell capped off her day with a 6.88m PR.

The Beacons will continue the lead-up to conference championships next weekend as they travel to Cambridge, Mass., for the two-day Crimson Open/Elite Invitational at Harvard on Friday, February 13, and Saturday, February 14.
