Garceau Named LEC Track Athlete of the Year; Eight Beacons Earn All-Conference Honors

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (February 26, 2026) – Following the completion of the 2025-26 Little East Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships, the Little East Conference announced its annual award winners and All-Conference selections, with UMass Boston senior Aryianna Garceau (Dalton, Mass.) earning her second consecutive LEC Indoor Track Athlete of the Year honor.

Aryianna Garceau (Dalton, Mass.)

Garceau repeated as the conference's top track athlete after a dominant championship performance. She captured three gold medals to earn All-LEC First Team honors in the 60m dash (7.71), 60m hurdles (8.45), and 200m dash (25.23). She also added a bronze medal in the long jump (5.44m) to secure All-LEC Third Team recognition, capping one of the most impressive individual meets in program history.

Justin Riley (Weymouth, Mass.)

Riley was one of the top point-scorers for the men's squad, earning All-Conference recognition in three events. He claimed gold and All-LEC First Team honors in the 60m hurdles (8.56), added a bronze medal in the 400m (51.53) for Third Team distinction, and ran a leg on the men's 4x400m relay that also earned All-LEC Third Team honors.

Shea Roche (Weymouth, Mass.)

After a season highlighted by multiple personal records and resetting her own school mark, Roche delivered a championship performance in the 5,000m. She secured gold and All-LEC First Team honors with a winning time of 18:09.31.

Alex Huynh

In his first season with the Beacons under Head Coach Ozzie Brown, Huynh made an immediate impact with a pair of podium finishes. He earned silver medals and All-LEC Second Team honors in both the high jump (1.92m) and long jump (6.58m).

Jacqueline Earner (Abington, Mass.)

Competing in her final LEC Indoor Championship, Earner added to her decorated career with a bronze medal in the 800m (2:24.69), earning All-LEC Third Team recognition.

Men's 4x400m Relay

The quartet of Justin Riley, Melvin Wiltshire (Boston, Mass.), Omar Mishal (Peabody, Mass.), and Elaijah Monteiro (New Bedford, Mass.) closed out the meet with a bronze-medal performance in the 4x400m relay. Their time of 3:29.70 secured All-LEC Third Team honors and punctuated a strong overall showing for the men's team.

Select qualifiers will continue their season at the New England Division III Indoor Championships on Saturday, February 28 at the TRACK at New Balance, beginning at 9:00 a.m. Live results and streaming links will be available on the team's schedule page.
