WESTON, MA. (April 4, 2025) – The Beacons men's and women's track and field teams combined for 52 points at the Regis College Spring Classic, with the men scoring 21 points and the women 31 points to start their split weekend. The teams will continue competition on Saturday, April 5, at UMass Amherst.
Women's Team: T-9 of 16 (31 PTS)
The women's team had six student-athletes place in the top ten across nine different events, with several setting personal bests.

Jhenelle Evans (Milton, Mass.) set a new personal best in the 100m dash. In the preliminaries, she finished in 12.89 seconds, marking the fastest time in the event this season for the squad. She placed second in the prelims and took third overall in 12.95 seconds, earning six points. Elizabeth Roy (Abington, Mass.) and Jania Cooper also recorded new personal bests in the 100m dash.

Aryianna Garceau (Dalton, Mass.) won two events. In the 200m dash, she took first place by a half-second, finishing in 25.10 seconds for ten points. In the 100m hurdles, Garceau led the preliminaries with a time of 14.59 seconds and dominated the final with a 14.11-second performance, earning 20 total points.

Kylee Browning (Attleboro, Mass.) finished in the top ten in the women's 800m dash with a time of 2:41.49.

Mackenzie Jorgensen placed third in the pole vault, clearing 2.35m for five points among six jumpers.

The throwers showed depth with top ten finishes in each throwing event. In the shot put, Isadora Teodoro Marques placed eighth with a personal best of 9.66m, marking one of three new personal records set by the team at Regis College.

In the women's discus, Alessandra Albano (Haverhill, Mass.) took ninth with a new personal best of 27.73m, surpassing her previous best by over three meters.

Katie Tuohy (Groton, Conn.) placed eighth in the hammer throw with a personal best heave of 35.28m, outthrowing 20 other competitors.
Men's Team: 10th of 15 (21 Points)
Derrick Touba (Yonkers, N.Y.) opened the day with an 11.55-second finish in the men's 100m dash, qualifying for the finals, where he finished third overall in 11.31 seconds. Melvin Wiltshire (Boston, Mass.) set a new collegiate best in the 100m dash with a time of 11.68 seconds, finishing 12th overall in the prelims.

The Beacons placed three athletes in the top ten of the men's 200m dash. Touba's fourth-place finish of 22.95 seconds was a personal best and led the team. Wiltshire followed in sixth place with a new collegiate best of 23.03 seconds, while Justin Riley (Weymouth, Mass.) finished eighth in 23.07 seconds.

Skye Roberts-Clarke (Boston, Mass.) set a new personal best in the 800m dash, finishing fourth out of 21 runners with a time of 2:08.74, earning four points.

Isaiah Stressman placed within the top ten in the 400m hurdles with a time of 61.83 seconds, another new personal best for the Beacons.

Olutemi Alofe led the Beacons in the men's shot put with a 12.85m fourth-place throw for six points.
