Ramirez Recognized as 2024-25 NCAA DIII Save Percentage Champion

INDIANAPOLIS, IN (April 3, 2025) – UMass Boston graduate men's soccer goalkeeper Andy Ramirez (Waltham, Mass.) has been honored by the NCAA as the 2024-25 Division III Statistical Champion for Save Percentage.

Ramirez, supported by a strong defensive backline, posted an NCAA-leading .897 save percentage, making 52 saves on 110 shots and allowing just six goals in 15 games played. His historic performance not only earned him the national honor but also set a new program record for single-season save percentage, surpassing Bob Ahearn's 40-year-old record of .890 set in 1985. Ramirez is the first Beacon in program history to receive this prestigious recognition, bringing a new piece of hardware to Beaconville.

With his outstanding season, Ramirez recorded a better statistical performance than any other NCAA DIII goalkeeper in the nation. His accomplishment is a testament to the hard work of the entire Beacons' men's soccer team and coaching staff, whose dedication has led to a season of excellence.

On behalf of UMass Boston Athletics and Recreation, congratulations to Ramirez and the Beacons' men's soccer team for this remarkable achievement.
