HOW IT HAPPENED

UMass Boston dominated the game from the opening face-off and their big three of Gavin Admirand (Marshfield, Mass.), Darragh Fahey (Walpole, Mass.) and Conor Lenfest (Waltham, Mass.) proved way too much for the Eagles.

Admirand, a sophomore transfer from Division I Merrimack College, put together a huge game in his Beacons debut. The sophomore attack tied for the team-lead with six goals and five assists and posted a game-high 11 points.

Fahey added a career-high three goals, five assists and eight points in the win. Lenfest set a new career-high with six goals and tacked on an assist in the victory. The Beacons big three combined for 15 goals and 11 assists in the win.

Joe Mauceri (Scituate, Mass.) and Evan Gormley (Rockland, Mass.) each tacked on two goals and an assist, while Andrew Gallagher (Milford, Mass.) recorded three assists in the win.

In the face-off X, Jack Dobrzynski (West Greenwich, R.I.) was dominant in the first half, as he finished 18-20. Jared Coltey (East Longmeadow, Mass.) came on in the second half and finished 10-13.

Trevor Koppy (Attleboro, Mass.) earned his first career win in the contest. The freshman goalie made six saves on nine shots over the first 30 minutes. Junior Charlie Cook (Bedford, Mass.) tacked on five saves on eight shots in the second half.

Gunner McAllister and Jaden Wells combined for the vast majority of Husson's offense. McAllister finished with three goals and an assist, while Wells tacked on two goals and a helper.

Kyle Prior took the loss after allowing 15 goals on 34 shots in the first half. Bryan Wagg made 12 saves on 23 shots in the second half.

UMass Boston took control from the start. The Beacons raced out to a 4-0 start in the opening 7:35 and an 8-1 lead after the first quarter. Lenfest and Admirand each posted three goals in the first 15 minutes.

Husson scored two of the first four goals in the second quarter to cut the deficit to 10-3, but UMass Boston used a 4-0 run to close the half (14-3).
