THE BASICS

Knotted at 1-1 with time quickly counting down, registered the game-winning goal for the Panthers off of a beautiful pass from Adrianna Kippenberge.  Sophie Brisere crossed the ball into the box where, Kippenberge then flicked it behind her leg to a wide open Swanson.  Swanson then tapped in to earn her third goal of the 2016 season.

Saturday's contest, saw the Beacons strike first in the form of a Jaclyn O'Grady (Somers, Conn.) penalty kick goal in the 20th minute.  With the early momentum in their corner, the Beacons had multiple chances to extend their lead, but were unable to convert on the opportunities.

This allowed Plymouth State to score the equalizer in the 32nd minute on a Caitlin Catania goal, her first of the campaign.  Assisting on the play was Kate Martin.  The two players managed to beat the Beacons backline and slipped the ball passed Alyssa Fugiel (Easthampton, Mass.).

Fugiel closed out Saturday's loss with eight stops, while her Plymouth State counterpart Annaliese Schmidt registered eight stops of her own.
