Little East Conference Names Four Beacons to Women's Soccer Postseason Awards

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (November 12, 2025) – The UMass Boston women's soccer team wrapped up a solid 8-8-4 overall record, including 4-3-1 in Little East Conference play, and four of its players earned five postseason recognitions from the conference office, capping off a season marked by growth, resilience, and consistent performance.

Sofia Schallmo (Norwood, Mass.) – Offensive Player of the Year (2x) / All-LEC First Team (2x)

Schallmo capped a standout sophomore season by being named the LEC Offensive Player of the Year for the second consecutive season while earning her second straight All-LEC First Team selection.

"Scho-Time" Schallmo was once again the engine of the Beacons' offensive attack, tallying a team-high and LEC-second leading 13 goals to go along with seven assists for 33 total points, leading the conference in points per game (1.83).

Andrea Rivera (San Juan, P.R.) – All-LEC First Team (2x)

Rivera earns her third career postseason selection, having previously been named First Team in 2023 and Third Team in 2024. In her senior season, Rivera concludes her career as one of the top field players in the conference.

The senior midfielder started all 12 games she played this season, recording two goals and two assists, including a game-winning goal in the season opener against Smith.

Maddy Moore (Boulder, Colo.) – All-LEC Second Team

Moore established herself as a consistent starter for the Beacons, appearing in 19 games and starting 17 as a key figure in the defensive midfield.

As a first-year student-athlete, she was fourth on the team in total minutes played (1,294) and helped anchor a defense that faced 236 shots while allowing just 29 goals (1.53 GAA).

Lorelai Leddy (West Greenwich, R.I.) – All-LEC Third Team

Leddy rounds out the Beacons' honorees with her first career All-LEC selection following a breakout rookie season.

The first-year midfielder started 17 of 19 games for 1,395 minutes (second-most on the squad), contributing six points on two goals and two assists, including a goal in the conference quarterfinals against Southern Maine and a crucial assist in the season finale against the Corsairs.

Be on the lookout for United Soccer Coaches All-Region and All-American selections, as well as CSC Academic All-Region and All-American nominations, which will be announced in the coming weeks following the conclusion of the NCAA Tournament.
