WESTON/MEDFORD, Mass. (April 10, 2026) – The UMass Boston track and field teams posted a combined 176-point outing at the Regis College Spring Classic in Weston, and a two-athlete contingent represented the Beacons at the Tufts Spring Invitational in Medford on Friday. The day was highlighted by 26 student-athletes placing in the Top 10, and 17 Beacons set new personal bests, providing UMass Boston with momentum for the remainder of the outdoor season as the Little East Conference Championships approach in two weeks.

Women's Team: T-4 of 11 (70 pts.)

In the 200-meter dash, Caruso posted a second-place finish, crossing the line in 27.08 seconds – a new personal best, for eight points. Sophomore Mariah Romaine (Plymouth, Mass.) finished behind Caruso in third place, posting a new personal best time of 27.10 seconds, good for six points.

In the 800-meter run, senior Jacqueline Earner (Abington, Mass.) and first-year Molly Hilditch (Auburn, Mass.) both secured Top 10 finishes. Earner placed first with a time of 2:24.32 for 10 points, and Hilditch posted a third-place finish with a time of 2:33.96 – a new personal best – for six points.

In the 3000-meter steeplechase, senior Abigail Schell (Boston, Mass.) posted a seventh-place finish, crossing the finish line with a new personal best time of 15:27.57.

In the hammer throw, junior Agnessa Lysenko (Boston, Mass.) placed third with a mark of 37.19 meters (122 feet) for six points, and junior Isadora Teodoro Marques (Billerica, Mass.) posted a sixth-place finish with a toss of 33.45 meters (109 feet, 9 inches) – a new personal best – for one point.

In the shot put, junior Katherine Tuohy (Groton, Conn.) posted a fourth-place finish with a heave of 10.02 meters (32 feet, 10.50 inches) for four points.

In the discus, senior Alessandra Albano (Haverhill, Mass.) placed fifth with a mark of 30.05 meters (98 feet, 7 inches) for two points. Lysenko finished behind Albano with a sixth-place finish, delivering a personal best hurl of 29.79 meters (97 feet, 9 inches), for one point.

In the 100-meter dash, first-year Liam Feliz Montilla (Boston, Mass.), senior Melvin Wiltshire (Boston, Mass.), and sophomore Alex Martins (Malden, Mass.), advanced to the finals after placing in the Top Eight in the preliminary round.

In the 400-meter run, junior Sky Roberts-Clarke (Boston, Mass.) and first-year Micah Groff (Beverly, Mass.) placed seventh and eighth respectively, with times of 55.04 seconds and 55.85 seconds.

In the 110-meter hurdles, junior Justin Riley (Weymouth, Mass.) posted a first-place finish, clocking a personal best time of 15.66 seconds for 10 points.

In the 800-meter run, sophomore Elaijah Monterio (New Bedford, Mass.) secured a first-place finish, crossing the line with a personal best time of 2:01.70 for 10 points. Senior Robert Cannon (Quincy, Mass.) posted a 10th-place finish, with a time of 2:11.95.

Wiltshire followed closely behind with a third-place finish of 22.73 seconds for six points, and sophomore Daniel Thomas (Milton, Mass.) posted a new personal best of 23.28 seconds, for a fourth-place finish and four points.

Saint-Victor Fabian posted first-place finishes and set new personal best marks in both events. In the hammer throw, he posted a mark of 45.66 meters (149 feet, 10 inches) for 10 points. Saint-Victor Fabian also won the discus with a hurl of 41.93 meters (137 feet, 7 inches) for 10 points, earning 20 total points.

Richards placed second in the hammer throw with a toss of 43.30 meters (142 feet, 1 inch) for eight points, and second in the discus with a personal best mark of 40.66 meters (133 feet, 5 inches) for eight points, earning 16 total points.

Alofe posted new personal best marks in both events. In the hammer throw, he delivered a toss of 41.31 meters (135 feet, 6 inches) for third place and six points. In the discus, Alofe placed fourth, with a mark of 39.97 meters (131 feet, 2 inches), for four points, earning 10 total points.

Feliz placed second in the long jump with a leap of 5.99 meters (19 feet, 7.75 inches) for eight points. First-year Jailen Butler (Boston, Mass.) placed tenth with a mark of 5.21 meters (17 feet, 1 inch).
Tufts Spring Invitational Highlights

First-year Noah Gendebien (Lisbon, N.Y.) and senior Shea Roche (Weymouth, Mass.) represented UMass Boston at the Tufts Spring Invitational, competing against a field that included Division I and nationally ranked Division III programs in the National Track & Field Rating Index (TFRI).
