PROVIDENCE, RI (March 9, 2026) – Following the UMass Boston men's tennis team's season-opening victory over the University of Hartford, the Little East Conference named Dominik Dwyer (Dedham, Mass.) and Thomas Ameral (Ellington, Conn.) the conference Player and Rookie of the Week, respectively.

Ameral, paired with William Kubinec (East Boston, Mass.), opened the season with a 6-3 win at No. 1 doubles before winning 6-3, 6-4 at No. 3 singles to earn LEC Rookie of the Week honors — the first of his career as a Beacon.

Dwyer led the way once again, teaming with Shrenith Saravana Rakshana (Bengaluru, India) for a 7-5 win at No. 2 doubles before closing out the day with a 6-3, 6-4 victory at No. 1 singles to claim conference Player of the Week.

The Beacons return to action Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. from the Weymouth Club in Weymouth, MA.
