BOSTON, MA (April 15, 2026) -- The UMass Boston men's tennis team (6-7, 2-1 Little East Conference) defeated the University of Southern Maine Huskies, 6-1, on their home courts showing dominance across all matches.
No. 1 doubles, William Kubinec (East, Boston, Mass.) and Thomas Ameral (Ellington, Conn.) defeated Charlie Bitar and Bowdoin Allen, 6-2 to start the match strong. No. 2 doubles, Dominic Dwyer (Dedham, Mass.) and Mario Pangione (Carver, Mass.) defeated Chase Noble and Landon Weaver, 6-0 securing the doubles point for the men. And at No. 3 doubles, Joseph Malone (South Dennis, Mass.) and James Tiger Li (Quincy, Mass.) defeated Kayde Kinaschuk and Aiden Urbahn, 7-5, to wrap up doubles play on a high note.
The men carried the momentum into singles play with five of the six singles matches resulting in a strong win. At No. 1 singles, Dwyer defeated Allen 6-2, 6-3, in the closest match of singles play. The Huskies secured their only win of the day at No.5 singles, with Malone losing to Kinaschuk, 4-6, 3-6.
The Beacs are back in action on Saturday, April 18th where they face Bridgewater State University at Bridgewater, MA. Play will begin at 12 PM.
