PROVIDENCE, R.I. (March 2, 2026) – The Little East Conference announced its weekly award winners on Monday, with UMass Boston men's lacrosse standouts Jack Schartner (Bolton, Mass.) and Holden Kuzniar (Georgetown, Mass.) earning conference recognition. The duo become the first Beacons to collect Little East weekly honors during the 2026 spring season.
Schartner, a sophomore attack, was named Little East Conference Offensive Player of the Week after a dominant showing in UMass Boston's season-opening win over the University of New England. He totaled five points, scoring four goals and adding an assist, accounting for 33 percent of the Beacons' offensive output in the victory.
Kuzniar, a senior defender, earned Defensive Player of the Week honors following a career-best performance on the defensive end. He recorded six ground balls and caused four turnovers, anchoring a unit that limited the Nor'easters to just 11 goals.
Schartner, Kuzniar, and the Beacons return to action next when they travel to face Salve Regina University in Newport, R.I.
