UMass Boston Promotes Stephanie Dollar to Executive Deputy Director of Athletics

BOSTON, MA. – UMass Boston Athletics Vice Chancellor and Director of Athletics and Recreation Dr. Jacqueline Schuman has announced the promotion of Stephanie Dollar to Executive Deputy Director of Athletics, recognizing her leadership and impact on the department's continued growth and success. 

Dollar, who has served in multiple leadership roles within the department since 2018, will take on expanded responsibilities overseeing departmental operations, strategic initiatives, and the continued advancement of student-athlete success. 

"Stephanie has been an exceptional leader for our department, coaches, and student-athletes," said Dr. Schuman. "Stephanie's vision, innovative leadership, and unwavering commitment to elevating our programs make her exceptionally deserving of this promotion. Over the past five years, she has been instrumental in driving the growth and success of our department."  

In her new role as Executive Deputy Director of Athletics, Dollar will lead all internal matters for the department, including sport administration, external communications, and lead numerous departmental initiatives aligned with the division and university's mission. 

Dollar has been instrumental in several major developments within UMass Boston Athletics, including supporting the department's strategic planning efforts, enhancing operational infrastructure, and helping advance initiatives that elevate the experience for more than 350 Beacon student-athletes across 20 varsity programs. 

"I'm incredibly grateful for the opportunity to continue serving UMass Boston and our student-athletes in this expanded role," Dollar said. "Working alongside Dr. Schuman, our staff, and head coaches is a privilege and I look forward to continuing our work to elevate UMass Boston Athletics together."
