PROVIDENCE, R.I. (February 9, 2026) – The Little East Conference announced its weekly award winners on Monday, with UMass Boston men's ice hockey senior forward Jude Kurtas (Hillsborough, N.J.) earning LEC Player of the Week honors.

Kurtas put together a dominant weekend for the Beacons, totaling six points on two goals and four assists while posting a plus-three rating as UMass Boston went 2–0 in league play. He recorded four points, including a pair of goals, in Friday night's 8–5 win over Plymouth State before adding two assists in Saturday's 3–1 victory against New England College.

With his performance, Kurtas now leads the Beacons in scoring with 28 points on 11 goals and 17 assists.

Kurtas and the UMass Boston men's ice hockey team return to LEC action on Friday at 7:00 p.m. in Babson Park, Massachusetts, against Babson College.
