PROVIDENCE, R.I. (January 19, 2026) – The Little East Conference announced its weekly men's basketball awards on Monday, with UMass Boston sophomore forward Cameron Perkins (Danbury, Conn.) earning his second LEC Player of the Week honor of the season following a pair of conference victories.
Perkins powered the Beacons to a 2–0 week, averaging 29.5 points per game while shooting 60 percent (21-of-35) from the field. In an 80–55 win over Plymouth State on Wednesday, Perkins posted a game-high 32 points and 10 rebounds for his second consecutive double-double. He followed that performance with 27 points and seven rebounds in a 77–64 road victory at Rhode Island College on Saturday.
The sophomore continues to lead the Beacons with dominant offensive performances as he remains firmly in the LEC Most Valuable Player and national All-America conversation.
Perkins and UMass Boston return to conference action on Wednesday, January 21, hosting Vermont State University Castleton at 7:00 p.m. inside Clark Athletic Center Gymnasium.
