BOSTON, Mass. – After a strong 2022 season, four members of the women's soccer program earned All-Little East Conference honors, which were announced by the conference office Thursday afternoon.
 
Earning first team honors were senior Kaylee Haynes and Kelly McNeil. Maria Spylios and Dani Anderson both landed on the second team, as the four seniors careers came to a close this season.
 
For Haynes, she proved to be the Beacons most prolific scorer. In 20 games played, all of which she started, Haynes registered seven goals and three assists for 17 points. Of those seven tallies, three were game-winners. In the 3-0 regular season win over WestConn, Haynes registered two goals in the huge conference victory. In the quarterfinal round win over Keene State, she netted another two goals in the Beacons 4-0 rout of the Owls.
 
McNeil, once again proved to be one of the best backs in the Little East Conference, alongside Anderson. The duo held opponents to just one goal per game, and were the Beacons one-two punch in the defensive third. McNeil picked-up an assist during her final season on the harbor campus, while Anderson finished the year ranked third on the team in points with eight (3g, 2a). Against Keene State in the regular season, Anderson found the back of the net twice to lead the Beacons to a 2-1 victory.
 
Spylios ended her career at UMass Boston as one of the best goalkeepers in program history. After overcoming an early season injury, the Leominster native registered 94 stops and posted a record of 8-7-1, which included seven shutouts. She tallied a 1.23 goals against average and a save percentage of .832. During her three seasons as a Beacon, Spylios compiled an overall record of 37-15-4, and had a career goals against average of 1.01 and made 243 saves in 4,924:46 minutes of playing time.
