Rob Cannon was named Rookie of the Week for Men's Cross Country as announced by the Little East Conference league office on Monday afternoon.
Jimmy Cannon notched his fastest time of the season for UMass Boston at the Franklin Pierce University 10th Annual Bruce Kirsh Cross Country Cup, finishing 3
rd overall in a time of 25:18:40. Cannon's previous best was 25:51:19 at the James Earley Invitational last week. This is his first Little East Conference Weekly Award during the 2022 Cross Country season.
Rob Cannon notched another strong performance for UMass Boston, finishing 14
th overall in 27:05:80 for the Beacons at the Franklin Pierce University 10th Annual Bruce Kirsh Cross Country Cup. Cannon's time was the second fastest he has run all time, coming just shy of beating his personal best of 27:03:20 at the Keene State Invitational. Cannon caps off his first collegiate season with four LEC awards in five regular season weeks.
The Cannon brothers and Men's Cross Country have the week off as they prepare for the Little East Conference Championship hosted by UMass Boston on October 29th at Franklin Park in Boston, Massachusetts.
