PROVIDENCE, R.I. (September 2, 2025) – UMass Boston men's cross country first-year Micah Groff (Beverly, Mass.) was recognized with the season's first Little East Conference Rookie of the Week Award for his outstanding collegiate debut at the Keene State Alumni Meet.

Groff led a group of six Beacons, including four returners, for a fourth-place finish out of 55 total competitors. He kick-started his collegiate career with a 16:24.56 finish over the five-kilometer course.

Groff and the Beacons cross country team are back in action this Saturday, September 6^th, at the Trinity Bantam Invitational in Hartford, Conn.
