Men’s Cross Country Closes Out Regular Season At Franklin Pierce

Jimmy Cannon finishes in third place to lead the Beacons

HOPKINTON, N.H. – Jimmy Cannon registered a third place finish to lead men's cross country to a strong fourth place finish at the Franklin Pierce University 10th Annual Bruce Kirsh Cross Country Cup Saturday afternoon.

Team Result – 4th out of 5 teams
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
 
Cannon's afternoon consisted of a 25:18.4 finish, which was his fastest time of the season by more than 35 seconds.
 
Rob Cannon took home a 14th place finish to close out his first regular season as a Beacon. The freshman posted a time of 27:05.8. Zeph Alvarado finished in 32nd place with a time of 30:09.5, while Christopher Druding registered a final time of 31:24.5.
 
Frank Boua and Sami Mezrouh finished in 43rd and 44th place respectively with times of 35:34.9 and 35:41.6. Austin Hennebury and Melvin Wiltshire closed out Saturday's meet with times of 41:09.6 and 41:17.3
 
WHAT'S NEXT
 
The Beacons will compete and host the 2022 Little East Conference Championship meet on October 29 at Franklin Park in Boston.
