HOW IT HAPPENED

Despite being outshot 11-to-1 in the first half the two teams entered the break scoreless. The Beacons sole first half shot was a well-executed one-time shot that took a diving save by Rams goalkeeper Keyonzia Gagne-Lamoureux (East Brookfield, Mass.) to keep the score even.

After a hard foul in the 57th minute resulting in a Rams player getting their second yellow card the Rams had to play a player down for the duration of the contest. Just seconds after the foul the Beacons gained possession and went for goal. Masionis sent a strike that was saved by Gagne-Lamoureux but Masionis gathered her own rebound and a sent it past the Rams keeper.

Gagne-Lamoureux made four stops in the setback for the Rams.
