HOW IT HAPPENED
After a quiet sophomore season, Barros struck for a pair of goals within a 17-minutes span to lead the Beacons to their third win in three meetings against the Terriers.
The junior forward recorded the second multi-goal of his career and first since his freshman season, to help the Beacons move to 2-0-0 for the first time since 2011.
Senior Elton Teixeira (Fogo, Cape Verde) scored the opening tally in the contest, after scoring a hat trick in last season's 4-3 win over Thomas College.
Rosales made eight saves on nine shots to earn his first win of the year in his season debut.
The Beacons took the lead at the 11:37 mark when Teixeira received a pass from Calvin Smick (Wilmington, Del.) and slipped it past Joakim Sternas.
UMass Boston doubled the lead just before halftime, as Barros flicked in an Arlindo Goncalves (Brockton, Mass.) cross to push the lead to 2-0 at 40:20.
Barros tacked on his second goal at the 56:13 mark, when the junior dove and headed home a loose ball for a 3-0 advantage.
The Terriers would get on the board and score their first goal of the season in the 64th minute, when Adam LaBrie scored off a pass from Tre Ming.
