KANSAS CITY, MO – United Soccer Coaches announced the release of the 2025 NCAA Division III All-Region teams. Among them, three UMass Boston men's soccer student-athletes earned Region I recognition, highlighted by sophomore Eduardo Chirico (Minas Gerais, Brazil), junior John Arruda (Espírito Santo, Brazil), and junior Ian Visnick (Beverly, Mass.).
Chirico earned Third Team All-Region honors after serving as a key offensive contributor for the Beacons throughout the season. The sophomore forward recorded a season-high two goals in a single match and consistently generated scoring opportunities. He also found the back of the net in the Little East Conference Championship, providing a crucial goal during UMass Boston's title run.
Arruda was named to the Second Team All-Region after delivering a steady and reliable presence for the Beacons across the campaign. The junior logged consistent minutes while providing strong two-way play and leadership in key moments, including a clutch goal in the Little East Conference Championship. His work rate, composure, and ability to contribute on both sides of the ball were instrumental to the team's success.
Visnick also earned Second Team All-Region recognition after anchoring the Beacons' defense for the entire season. The junior was named Little East Conference Defensive Player of the Year and earned First Team All-LEC honors for his consistently dominant play along the back line. His leadership and defensive stability were critical in guiding UMass Boston to the Little East Conference title and an NCAA Tournament berth.
