HOW IT HAPPENED
UMass Boston jumped out to leads of 1-0, 3-1 and 5-2, en-route to the program's seventh win in seven tries in Biddeford.

Freshman Drew Gannon (Plano, Texas) and David MacGregor (Azusa, Calif.) each scored their first collegiate goals for the Beacons, as UMass Boston outscored the Nor'Easters 3-0 in the final stanza.

Bengston would close out the first period, with a tally at 18:28, to send the two teams into the break separated by a single goal.
