Steven Cordero was named this week’s Beacon of the Week following a career performance in UMass Boston men’s basketball’s dominant 96–71 non-conference victory over the Roger Williams Hawks on Saturday, December 13. The junior guard was efficient and explosive, scoring 22 points on 66 percent shooting (8-for-12), connecting on four three-pointers (4-for-5, 80 percent), and recording four steals, all career-high single-game totals for the Everett, Massachusetts native, all while donning the Beacons' black and blue.
