Junior defender Ian Visnick (Beverly, Mass.) anchored the Beacons’ back line in a strong defensive week for UMass Boston men’s soccer. Visnick played a pivotal role in a 2-0 stretch for the Beacons, helping limit VTSU Castleton and one of the Little East Conference’s top scorers, Matt Spiller, to just one goal in Saturday’s 2-1 win, before leading the defense to a 1-0 clean sheet at Swarthmore on Monday. A steady leader and last line of defense, Visnick continues to be the cornerstone of UMass Boston’s backfield.
