Mary Matthews (Wilsonville, Ore.) was one of two Beacons recognized for her play at the NCAA Regional Tournament in Ithaca, N.Y. There, she was 4-7 (.571) from the dish, with a perfect 3-3 performance in game three against Springfield College. She recorded a double, and four total RBIs (one vs NCAA #9 Texas Lutheran, three vs Springfield College) to put a ribbon on a highly successful rookie campiagn for the dual sport athlete.
