Jakub Teply has been named this week’s Beacon of the Week for his standout performance in UMass Boston men’s ice hockey’s 4-0 win over New England College—the program’s first-ever Little East Conference matchup. Teply scored twice, netting his first late in the opening period to extend the lead to 2-0 before adding another in the third to make it 3-0. His two-goal outing brings him level with Jude Kurtas as the team’s leading scorer early in the season.
