Sophomore setter Audrey Cofield (Ypsilanti, Mich.) has been named this week’s Beacon of the Week after achieving a remarkable career milestone in record time. In Saturday’s five-set thriller against Eastern Connecticut State, Cofield surpassed 1,000 career assists, reaching the mark in just 50 career matches.

The sophomore standout also recorded 40-plus assists for the fifth time this season, continuing to serve as the heartbeat of UMass Boston’s offense while anchoring the defense with her all-around consistency and leadership.
