In the Men's Basketball LEC Regular Season Finale against the Vermont State University Castleton Spartans on Wednesday (Feb. 19), senior Anthony Gauthier (Jaffrey, N.H.) made critical contributions in the Beacons' final win of the season, as UMass Boston honored their senior day tradition. In his first career start with the Beacons on Senior Night, Gauthier was a key player with 10 points (5-8 FG), and 10 rebounds (three offensive, seven defensive) with one assist in 26 minutes of action. His 10 points and 10 rebounds marked his first career double-double with the Beacons. His performance against the Spartans was a perfect indicator of his time on the Harbor Campus, as he has always provided exactly what the Beacons require in times of need. Gauthier and the Beacons play in round one of the LEC Tournament on Tuesday against the Spartans at 7:00 p.m. from the Clark Athletic Center.Â
