In a 1-1 week for the UMass Boston men's basketball team against the Western Connecticut State Wolves (51-68) and the Rhode Island College Anchormen (84-79), first-year guard Raphel Laurent (Peabody, Mass.) averaged 17.0 points per game, with 6.0 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game. Laurent was exceptional in the Beacons' win at R.I.C., when he scored 25 points, grabbed 8 rebounds, collected 4 assists, and had 2 steals, while shooting a career-high 13-17 from the FT line.
