BOSTON, MA (July 8, 2026) – The American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) has announced its 2025-26 Krampade All-American Scholars list for Division II-III, and UMass Boston Hockey is well-represented — with 13 student-athletes earning the distinction across the men's and women's programs.
To qualify for the award, a student-athlete must have achieved a 3.75 GPA or higher in each semester of the 2025-26 academic year while appearing in at least 40% of their team's games. Exceptions were granted to injured players and backup goaltenders. The full Division II-III list includes 994 honorees — 550 men and 444 women.
Six members of the UMass Boston women's hockey program were recognized, including senior forward
Kristen Briggs (Foster, R.I.), junior defender
Jenna Fitzsimons (Ashland, MA.), and first-year student-athletes
Shayna Chin (Brookline, MA.) (F),
Adrianna Kelsch (Bourne, MA.) (F),
Aisling McFadden (Erie, PA.), and
Gabriella Woods (Grafton, MA.) (D).
On the men's side, seven Beacons earned the honor: junior forwards

The Krampade All-American Scholars award is presented annually by the AHCA to recognize varsity ice hockey players who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement alongside their on-ice contributions.
