Greensboro, NC (May 28, 2026) -- The American Baseball Coaches Association and D3baseball.com announced the 2026  All-American teams on Thursday night, with UMass Boston junior shortstop Elliot Miles (Portsmouth, NH) being named to the ABCA All-American Second Team and the D3baseball.com All-American Third Team for his outstanding season.
Miles is the first Beacon to be named to the ABCA All-American team since Bobby Tramondozzi and Nick Herzong in 2019, when Herzog was selected to the First Team and named National Player of the Year. The most previous Beacon to be selected to the D3baseball.com All-American Team was Aidan Blake in 2024. Miles is the seventh Beacon in program history to be named to either of the teams, and only the fourth to be named to both ABCA and D3baseball.com.
The selection to this year's All-American team comes on the heels of his All-Region First Team nods from both ABCA/Rawlings and D3baseball.com. He also finished a member of the 2026 All-Little East Conference First Team, leading the conference in multiple categories including HBP (21) and stolen bases (35), while finishing second in batting average, slugging percentage, and home runs as one of the most productive sluggers the Little East had to offer.
Miles was one of the most dynamic players in Division III baseball in 2026, slashing .409/.507/.742 with 12 home runs and 56 RBI across 42 games. The junior shortstop collected 65 hits — including 11 doubles and three triples — scored 57 runs, and swiped 35 bases in 38 attempts. He was also hit by a team-high 21 pitches and drew 16 walks.
Defensively, Miles handled 224 total chances at shortstop, recording 75 putouts and 134 assists while turning 22 double plays.
Miles led a UMass Boston offense that hit .302 and scored 349 runs as a team on the season.
