BOSTON, Mass. (May 26, 2026) – Three UMass Boston baseball standouts have been honored on the 2026 American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) and D3baseball.com Division III All-Region Teams for Region II, as junior pitcher
Cameron Fisher (Canton, Conn.), junior shortstop
Elliot Miles (Portsmouth, NH), and junior designated hitter
Brandon Gaer (Rocky Hill, Conn.) each earned recognition from both organizations. Additionally, senior second basemen
Nick Farnacci (Farmingdale, NY) was named to the D3baseball.com All-Region First Team.
Selections for the ABCA All-Region Teams are made by members of the ABCA and coordinated by the ABCA NCAA Division III All-America & Coach of the Year Committee.
Fisher earned ABCA All-Region First Team honors and D3baseball.com All-Region Second Team recognition, capping an outstanding season as the ace of the UMass Boston rotation. The right-hander led the staff with a 2.63 ERA over 65.0 innings, going 6-1 across 10 starts. He struck out 62 batters while walking just 12, holding opposing hitters to a .213 batting average — the lowest mark among all UMass Boston pitchers. Fisher also threw one complete game and allowed just two home runs all season, cementing himself as one of Region II's premier arms.
Miles was a unanimous First Team selection by both the ABCA and D3baseball.com, and it's easy to see why. The shortstop put together one of the most productive offensive seasons in program history, batting .409 with 65 hits, 12 home runs, and 56 RBIs across 42 games. He added 11 doubles, three triples, and an eye-popping .742 slugging percentage with a .507 on-base percentage. On the bases, Miles swiped 35 stolen bases in 38 attempts, and his 21 hit-by-pitches underscored his fearless approach at the plate. Defensively, he appeared in all 43 games at shortstop, recording 75 putouts and 134 assists.
Gaer picked up First Team All-Region honors from both the ABCA and D3baseball.com as the designated hitter, delivering a reliable and impactful presence in the heart of the UMass Boston lineup all season. The catcher-turned-DH batted .357 with 56 hits, 14 doubles, and 52 RBIs — second on the team. Gaer reached base at a .432 clip and posted an .484 slugging percentage, while appearing in all 42 games. Behind the plate, he threw out base runners at a .911 rate (41-of-45 attempts), one of the top marks in the region.
Farnacci rounds out the Beacon honorees with a D3baseball.com All-Region First Team nod at second base. A catalyst at the top of the order, the second baseman batted .312 with 49 hits, 52 runs scored, and 25 RBIs in 42 games. He drew 28 walks and reached base at a .455 clip, while stealing 24 bases in 28 attempts. Defensively, Farnacci was among the steadiest infielders in the region, recording 94 putouts and 107 assists at second base with a .957 fielding percentage and anchoring a unit that turned 34 double plays on the season.
The quartet of honorees adds to UMass Boston's growing legacy of All-Region excellence on the diamond. Miles and Gaer both earned First Team recognition from both organizations, while Fisher's dominant 2026 campaign makes him one of the program's most decorated pitchers in recent memory. Farnacci's D3baseball.com First Team selection further reflects the depth of talent on this year's Beacons squad, which finished the regular season 21-22 overall and 8-8 in Little East Conference play.
