LA CROSSE, WI (May 22, 2026) --- At the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships, senior Aryianna Garceau of UMass Boston delivered a historic performance Friday, setting a meet record in the 100-meter hurdles preliminaries to advance to the finals. The Beacons' lone representative kept her championship legacy alive on the second day of high-stakes national competition at Veterans Memorial Field Sports Complex.
Top Performer
- Aryianna Garceau (Dalton, Mass.) won her 100-meter hurdles preliminary heat in 13.48 seconds with a +0.1 m/s wind, breaking the meet record and qualifying automatically for Saturday's national championship final. Garceau's effort was the fastest wind-legal mark at the championship and reaffirms her status as the top-ranked hurdler in the NCAA Division III field.
Personal Bests and Season Bests
- Garceau's 13.48 is her best wind-legal outdoor time of the 2026 season, eclipsing all previous marks except for her 13.38 at the Texas Relays, which was ineligible for record purposes due to a wind reading above the allowable limit.
