Boston, MA (April 6, 2026) – The Little East Conference (LEC) and the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) have named UMass Boston senior Aryianna Garceau (Dalton, Mass.) their respective Athlete of the Week following her performance at the 2026 Texas Relays.
Garceau earns her second LEC Track Athlete of the Week honor of the 2026 outdoor season and her second career USTFCCCA National Athlete of the Week award, having previously earned the honor during the 2026 indoor season.
At the Texas Relays, Garceau clocked a wind-aided (+3.4 m/s) 13.38 in the 100m hurdles, placing 11th out of 37 Division I competitors and ranking first in NCAA Division III in the hurdles. The 13.38 breaks her own UMass Boston school record but, recorded with an illegal tailwind, does not qualify for the official national record books — meaning her previous mark of 13.54 remains the NCAA Division III Outdoor Record. The 13.38 also ranks second All-Time under all conditions in Division III, just 0.06 seconds off the all-time mark.
Competing against some of the nation's top hurdlers, Garceau represented NCAA Division III, the LEC, and UMass Boston at the highest level.
The Beacons return to action Friday, April 10, at the Regis College Spring Classic.
