BOSTON, MA (February 14, 2025) – With the Little East Conference Championships just one week away, the Beacons' women's track & field team delivered a strong statement performance Friday at the Crimson Open, highlighted by a record-breaking throw from junior Agnessa Lysenko (Boston, Mass.).
Lysenko rewrote the program record books in the weight throw, launching a mark of 13.45m to break the previous school record of 13.01m. Her historic performance moves her to No. 7 in the LEC and provides major momentum heading into next week's conference meet.
Senior Aryianna Garceau (Dalton, Mass.) continued her dominant season in the 60m hurdles, clocking a season-best 8.37. The time was just 0.02 seconds off her own school record of 8.35 and only 0.04 seconds shy of the NCAA Division III record. Garceau maintains her No. 1 ranking in both the LEC and NCAA Division III.
First-year Amelia Caruso (Scarborough, ME.) posted a personal best in the 400m, finishing in 1:03.78, placing among the top 20 in the LEC and marks significant progress as she continues to develop in her debut collegiate season.
Junior Katie Touhy (Groton, CT.) also delivered a strong showing in the weight throw, recording a mark of 12.62m, just 0.03m shy of her personal record. Senior Isadora Teodoro Marques (Billerica, Mass.) also competed in the weight throw, contributing to a productive day for the program's throwing unit.
