Providence, R.I. (January 1, 2026) --- The Little East Conference announced UMass Boston's Raphel Laurent (Peabody, MA) as this week's LEC Player of the Week for the second time this season. 

Laurent averaged 25.5 points and 8.5 rebounds per game in a 2-0 week for the Beacons, which saw him shoot 61 percent (19-of-31) from the field. He led all scorers with 29 points in the Beacons win at Eastern Connecticut to remain undefeated in LEC play, going 10-for-14 from the field and 8-of-9 at the line while leading the team with seven rebounds, three assists and three steals. Laurent opened the week with 22 points, 10 boards and three steals in an 80-74 non-conference triumph at City College of New York.
