PROVIDENCE, R.I (December 8, 2025) -- The Little East Conference announced UMass Boston's
Raphel Laurent (Peabody, MA) as this week's LEC Player of the Week for lighting up the field to kick off the men's basketball
2025-26 LEC season.
Laurent powered the Beacons to a 2–0 week in conference action, averaging 26 points and five rebounds while shooting an efficient 56 percent (18-of-32) from the floor and 75 percent (9-of-12) at the free-throw line. He opened the week with a standout 27-point performance, adding six rebounds, three steals, and two blocks in a 77–74 win over Southern Maine. Laurent followed that effort with 25 points and four boards to lead UMass Boston past Keene State, 74–69.
